Privacy policy
Last updated: October 9, 2026. This policy describes actual data handling for the MDB Labs marketing site (V0.1).
Who we are
MDB Labs (“we”, “us”) operates this website for our web design studio serving Windsor–Essex, Ontario. Contact: marshallbuchner96@gmail.com.
What we collect
When you submit the free design request form, we collect the information you provide: name, business name, work email, optional website URL, industry, your description of what you want improved, and your consent to be contacted about the request.
We also process limited technical data needed to operate the form securely (for example, IP address used for rate limiting abuse control). That rate-limit data is kept in short-lived server memory and is not displayed publicly.
How we use information
- To review and respond to design requests
- To qualify whether we can offer a free homepage concept
- To communicate about next steps if you choose paid work
- To protect the form from spam and abuse
We do not sell personal information. We do not publicly display submitted personal information.
Email delivery and local development mode
Production inquiry emails are delivered with Resend using server-side environment variables. Success is only reported after the provider accepts the message. Local development may store test submissions under .data/inquiries/ on the developer machine when Resend is unset — that filesystem fallback is disabled on Vercel so inquiries cannot be silently lost there. If email is not configured on a hosted deployment, the form reports that it is unavailable instead of claiming success.
Analytics
V0.1 does not include third-party analytics or advertising pixels. If analytics are added later, this policy will be updated before those tools are enabled.
Retention
Inquiry records are retained as long as needed to respond to your request and maintain ordinary business records, then deleted or archived according to our operational needs and legal obligations.
Your choices
You can email marshallbuchner96@gmail.com to ask questions about your submission or request correction or deletion where applicable.
Changes
If our data practices change in a material way — for example, adding analytics or a database — we will update this page.
